Gareth Stokes is both the Global Co-Chair of the Tech Sector and AI Practice at DLA Piper. Both lawyer and technologist, for more than 20 years Gareth has helped clients to make the most of the latest innovations in the whole tech stack. Given the rapid adoption of transformative technologies, it is easy for today’s cutting-edge technology to end up lagging behind the curve within the typical lifespan of most IT deals. By having the insight to anticipate where technology is going and building innovation and embedded change into the DNA of the deals he works on, Gareth protects his clients from falling behind. As Global Co-chair DLA Piper’s market-leading AI Practice, Gareth has advised on the development, training, and deployment of many of the highest profile AI models – and the policy, strategy and ethical considerations related to these systems.
